The necessary funding has now been secured for an important road project in El Salvador. A loan of US$200 million will be provided by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CBEI) for the work, while a loan of $210 million will be provided by the South Korean Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The project is to be managed by the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF). Engineering consultant for the project is Dohwa Engineering while Dongbu is the contractor building the route.
The South Korean Ministry of Economy and Finance is looking to provide finance for further infrastructure projects that will involve South Korean companies in Central America.
