Tender for El Salvador road feasibility study

The tender process has been run in El Salvador for the feasibility study and design works for an upgrade to the Panamericana route. The aim of this work is to upgrade a stretch of the Panamericana Highway to three lanes in either direction. Also included in the work will be the construction of a 1.6km flyover. The work is expected to cost US$160 million and will be carried out on a stretch of the PanamericanaHighway  leading north west from the capital, San Salvador. The work is needed to boost capacity and safety on the route. The Panamericana Highway is an important route, connecting countries in Central America.
