JCB has announced plans for a new €36 million engine development project in the UK. This investment will create around 350 jobs shared between its factories in the Midlands and Wales.

Deutz says it is seeing improved financial performance, recording an operating profit of €42.2 million in 2010.

The new four cylinder 3.4 litre diesel from Perkins Engines completes the firm's Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB product line-up.
