A US$268 million funding package will pay for a key Vietnam highway stretch.
A US$268.2 million funding package will help for work on a stretch of Vietnam’s North-South Expressway. This second phase of the work will be carried out by 2025. The funding package is being supplied by Vietnam’s Ministry of Transport (MoT). In all, the MoT has been allotted nearly $2.7 billion from Vietnam’s Central State Budget to carry out a series of infrastructure projects.
This key route will boost transport and trade for Vietnam once it is complete, providing a faster and safer road connection between north and south. The new expressway will help boost Vietnam's economic development and also boost transport with its neighbours.
