Taiwan has set a US$4.6 billion budget for infrastructure development, with road transport works accounting for 25.8% of the financing. The plan has been set by Taiwan’s National Development Council (NDC). The programme of works will include building new road and highway sections as well as upgrading and maintaining existing links. New interchanges will improve traffic flow at key points in the network, while works to bridges will also be carried out.
