A feasibility study is being carried out for a new highway link in Taiwan. This new road section would provide a connection between the Suhua Highway, itself recently improved, and Freeway No5.

The proposed highway link measures 7.2km in length. The estimated cost for the construction of the link is US$639 million. Should the project get the full approvals necessary, the timeline envisaged would see its completion by 2032.

Taiwan suffers from heavy congestion in many areas. This new road link will help improve traffic flow for Taiwan's many frustrated drivers.
