Thailand’s Transport Ministry has set out plans for three major new highway projects. Building these three highways will cost an estimated US$2.8 billion.

One of the highways is for the 16.4km link between Ekkachai and Ban Phaeo, with the tender process being completed by mid-2021. This new highway stretch will also connect to the 10km Thian to Ekkachai highway, currently being built.

Another of the highways is the 18km Rangsit-Bang Pa-in route. This will connect the Bang Pa-in-Nakhon Ratchasima highway with the Utraphimuk Expressway (Don Muang Tollway).

The third project will be for the Srinagarindra to Suvarnabhumi airport highway. The tender process is expected at the end of 2021.
