Italian contractor 1324 Astaldi will construct the 1.76km-long road tunnel underneath the Swina River in northern Poland. This development comes after an appeal by the contractor Porr was thrown out of the Polish appeals court, KIO. The €181.4 million road tunnel will improve transport for the town of Swinoujcie and neighbouring Karsibor, which lie on Poland’s coast and beside the Szczecin Lagoon.
