Indian road deals underway

Indian road deals have been announced.

Five major expressway works will be carried out by GR Infraprojects in India. The projects have been awarded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The works will be carried out in Rajasthan State and Andhra Pradesh State in India

Upgrading NH-71 between Madanapalli in Pileru in Andhra Pradesh State so that it features two lanes in either direction will cost US$206.76 million. Widening the NH-341 between Bhimasar and Anjar will cost $142.25 million. A new expressway section that connects Jaipur with the Delhi to Vadodara Greenfield Expressway in Rajasthan State will cost $179.36 million. Two smaller projects will also be carried out, with all five being handled under a hybrid annuity system.

Meanwhile, Dilip Buildcon is leading the bidding for a highway project in Karnataka. Building the 65.5km highway is expected to cost $208.3 million while the construction work is anticipated as taking 30 months to complete.
 
In addition, NHAI is awarding a contract worth $264.4 million for work in Maharashtra State to Adani Road Transport. The work will be to upgrade the NH-48 route so that it features three lanes in either direction between Kagal and Satara.
