ATG group’s tyre company Galaxy has launched its first range of radial off-road tyres at Intermat Paris 2018, which it says are for high-pressure job sites. Simone Hainz, marketing investigation and intelligence manager, said: “90% of the market is radial and that was a huge gap for us up until now. The demand is there and we are now able to offer the customer a complete solution.”

Hamm is claiming a first with its hybrid 9 tonne HD+ 90i PH tandem roller. The German manufacturer believes that it is the first roller manufacturer to develop a production-ready machine. Most hybrid solutions, as in the case of cars, combine an internal combustion engine with an electric motor. Hamm has instead combined an internal combustion engine with a hydraulic system for the tandem roller.
