Road repair works are being carried out in Uganda’s capital, Kampala. Nearly 70km of roads will benefit from the improvement works, which are being carried out in five separate contracts. This forms part of the Kampala City Roads Rehabilitation Project (KCRRP).

The improvement works will be carried out by Chinese contractors. Lot 1 will be handled by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), while Lot 2 will be handled by Zhejiang Communications Construction Group. Lot 3 will be handled by China Railway 18th Bureau Group and Lot 5 by China Communication Construction Company.

The project is being managed by the Kampala Capital City Authority and forms part of a plan to improve the city’s transport infrastructure.
