Work is now well underway to revamp Russia’s important Skandinavia Road link. The A-181 highway connects Russia’s second city, St Petersburg, with Finland and forms part of the E18 route.

The tender process is due for repairs and improvements to the last stretch of the A-181, with the work being carried out along a section up to 134km in length. The project is expected to cost around US$118 million. The work should be carried out in 2024. The aim is for all of the work for the Skandinavia Road to be complete by 2030.
