The tendering processes for a series of road repair contracts in Puerto Rico will now will recommence. Some US$112 million has been earmarked for 17 key road repair projects in Puerto Rico by the state-owned road and transport authority, Autoridad de Carreteras y Transportacion (ACT). These tenders were halted previously when Puerto Rico was hit by Hurricane Maria in 2017. Tenders for other road repair projects worth a total of $175 million are being planned. In all, Puerto Rico needs an estimated $600 million of road repairs.
