A new transport budget for Finland has been proposed for the next eight years that will reduce journey times and boost the economy. The proposal has been put forward by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency (FTIA) in a bid to develop transport networks in the country.
Of the €3 billion total budget, around €977 million will be directed toward road projects. Around €2.3 billion will be used for transport development works, with €1.26 billion for rail works, €800 million for transport infrastructure maintenance and €82 million for waterways.
