A key Costa Rica road upgrade will be costly.
Plans are being drawn up in Costa Rica for upgrade work to the road connecting capital San Jose with the town of San Ramon. The improvement and maintenance work is now expected to come with a pricetag of US$780 million.
Of this, around $110 million will be provided by the Costa Rica Government. Financing from banks and private sources will be expected to pay for the remained of the cost of the project. The Ruta Uno trust is managing the project and is itself managed by the Banco de Costa Rica (BCR).
