Costa Rica road projects are underway, although some may face delays.
Financing is being secure for a road widening project in Costa Rica. The route linking capital San Jose with San Ramon will be improved once the work goes ahead. The project is expected to cost US$740 million, with the Costa Rica Government supplying $110 million. Discussions have been held between the Banco de Costa Rica and the Ministry of Public Works regarding the necessary financing required.
Meanwhile, construction work has been slowed on the road widening project for Route 32. The project is due for completion on 8th February 2023 and is being carried out by the Chinese firm, China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC). Whether the contractor can complete the work within the timeframe has to be confirmed.
