Colombia has plans to upgrade rural roads.
A new programme from the Colombian Government will see rural and local roads being maintained and upgraded. The plan will ensure that the country’s more remote locations have better road links for transport.
As many as 40% of the country’s rural and local roads will benefit from the work. The programme is being planned by Colombia’s Transport Ministry. A budget of US$1.6 billion has been set for the work, with the programme intended to stretch over 36 months.
