A new highway section will be built in the Sakha Republic in Yakutia, Russia. The 23km stretch of the A-331 Vilyuy Highway will bypass the town of Verkhnevilyuysk.

The project includes building a new 1.66km bridge spanning the Vilyuy River. Construction of this new highway section will help improve transport. Journey times to the nearest city, Yakutia, will be reduced considerably and the link will boost transport for the extraction industries in the area that are crucial to the local economy in this remote area of Siberian Russia.
