An important new bridge link is planned for Thailand
An important new bridge project is being planned for Thailand. The new structure will connect Hua Hin with Koh Lanta.
The intended design will be a suspension bridge and will cost US$49.5 million to build the 1.95km structure. Work is due to start in 2023 and it should be ready for use in 2025 if the intended schedule is met.
The project is being managed by Thailand’s Department of Rural Roads. Full approval for the project has yet to be gained, with the work subject to public hearings and environmental impact assessment before it can be given the go ahead.
