Progress is being made for the construction of Malaysia’s Central Spine Road (CSR) project. If the current rate of construction is continued, then the route should be ready for traffic in 2025.

The road connects Kuala Krai, Kelantan with the East Coast Highway, Pahang and was split into six contract sections. The project involves building a new road as well as improving an existing 307km road. The work is costing US$1.72 billion.

This is one of several important infrastructure development projects underway in the country at present and will help boost transport in Malaysia.
