Kazakhstan’s key construction contracts for road works have been awarded.
Important new road construction works will be carried out in Kazakhstan. The works form part of a wider plan by the Kazakhstan Government to improve transport links in the country, aimed at helping to develop economic activity.
One project is for a new bypass for the town of Saryagash. The work is expected to cost US$436.5 million. Construction is due to commence in 2021 and is expected to take until 2024 to complete.
A local contractor, Bazis Construction, will build a major interchange in Almaty. The project is expected to cost $55.4 million. The work will include a tunnel stretch measuring 570m as well as an overpass measuring 783m.
