A programme of road improvements is planned for Ivory Coast
The government in Côte d'Ivoire is planning a programme of road improvements for 2021. This will follow on from and also expand on the road upgrade works carried out in the country during 2020.
The plans call for 1,313km of roads in the country to be surfaced with asphalt. At present, only 6.514km of the country’s 81,966km road system features asphalt surfacing, with the majority being unsurfaced and being difficult to use during the rainy season. In addition, 33 new interchanges and bridges will be constructed.
