A new highway contract has been awarded for Karnataka State in India. The US$151.7 million package of works was awarded to KNR Constructions. The project will see the main road, NH-75, linking Bangalore and Mangalore being upgraded and widened to two lanes in either direction, with the work taking two years to complete.

The improvement works will be carried out between KM 270+270 at Periya Shanti and KM 318+755 at Bantwal. Included in the work will be the construction of a new flyover with three lanes in either direction at Kalladka, between KM 311 and KM 314. KNR Constructions was awarded the work under the engineering, procurement, and construction model.
