An important French highway concession package has been awarded.
A new road upgrade project will help improve transport for the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in central France. A 48-year concession package has been awarded for the project to Eiffage.
The concession deal includes financing, design, development, widening, operation and maintenance for the route. The work will see the upgrade of the existing RN 79 connecting Sazeret and Digoin.
The 89km stretch of road will be upgraded to highway status and will be reclassified as the A79. Eiffage and its subsidiary Autoroutes Paris-Rhin-Rhône (APRR) will manage the construction work as well as the operation of the highway stretch.
