Cheesy tunnel tale

A road tunnel in Norway was blocked when a load of goat’s cheese caught fire. Fortunately the truck driver hauling the load escaped injury but the 27tonnes of cheese burned for five days. This particular type of cheese is noted for its unusual taste due to a high fat and sugar content, which makes it highly inflammable. The fire left a lingering aftertaste as it produced strong fumes that delayed the re-opening of the tunnel for several weeks.
