“There is a probe in the drum that monitors progress, temperature and other parts of the mixing process,” said Manuela Galante, marketing director at Carmix. “The changes in the 3500 TC are mostly based on technology.”
The 3500 TC is the latest offering from Carmix. The machine self-loads aggregates into its drum, then mixes them with cement and water from self-pumped tanks. The operator can pour the mix when the process is complete.
The Carmix 3500 TC also includes a four-sensor electronic scale to measure weight. The probe monitors slump, volume, aridity and ready-mix readiness and the operator has access to the information.
“The goal is to make mix the same quality as a batching plant,” Galante said.
The machines feature a four-wheel drive hydrostatic transmission to access hard-to-reach places.
The military and rental companies increasingly are using the mixers, Galante said.
