Polish General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) is announcing tenders for the construction of a series of major routes. One key stretch is for a 41km section of the S14 dual carriageway, which will link the A2 highway with the S8 dual carriageway and which will constitute Lodz's western ring-road. According to declarations of the Polish Infrastructure and Development Ministry, work on the S14 project will commence in 2016.

Cambodia’s roads show an increase in crashes. The country's National Road Safety Committee (NRSC) has announced official results showing that road related fatalities increased by 14% from 1,950 in 2013 to 2,226 in 2014. People aged from 15 - 39 accounted for 64% of the road crash casualties, while there were 4,645 recorded collisions. The China Communications Construction Company is to take part in the second and third construction phases of Tehran’s north highway project. A memorandum of understanding signed earlier this year marks the first time a Chinese contractor has worked in Iran. The second section covers around 23km and includes a 6.5km tunnel and a 16.5km highway. The third section spans about 45km, of which 38km will be through tunnels. Total cost is around US$2 billion, with the second section costing $500 million.
