Hitachi Construction Machinery has introduced a hydraulic technology known as TRIAS on its Dash-5 Zaxis excavators from the ZX210LC-5 to the ZX350LC-5. Developed to reduce fuel consumption, the system uses three hydraulic pumps and a control valve, which efficiently divides the flow from the pumps into each actuator as required.

JCB has introduced two new soil compactors; the VM117D and the VM137D with operating weights of 11tonnes and 12.2tonnes respectively. The single-drum vibratory compactors can be used for a wide range of work in infrastructure and housing projects and have a smooth drum as standard with pad foot drums as an option. Polish manufacturer Dressta, now owned by LiuGong, has updated the engine in its TD14R dozer to bring the machine into line with recent emissions regulations. The TD14R is powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 engine delivering 119kW. The 18.7tonne dozer is available in standard, long and low ground pressure track models, with a three-point suspension system to maintain tractive effort on rough ground.

Atlas Weyhausen has unveiled its biggest and most powerful wheeled loader yet – the AR 105e – which boasts a service weight of 9,450kg and a standard bucket capacity between 1.6 and 1.8m³. The AR 105e’s engine is a water-cooled Deutz Diesel motor TCD 4.1 with four in-line cylinders, an output of 105 kW@2,200rpm and a maximum torque of 550Nm. Hyundai Heavy Industries is showcasing its new Robex 9A series of excavators – six crawler excavators and three wheeled excavators – all of which have engines that meet the Tier 4 Interim/EU-Stage IIIB standards on engine emissions.
