US$1.34 billion for roads in Chhattisgarh, India

The State of Chhattisgarh in India will benefit from a US$1.34 billion budget for road improvement works. This is intended to boost connectivity to areas within the state.

A total of 236km of roads will be upgraded, with four National Highway routes to receive the majority of the spending. Maintenance work will be carried out, while safety upgrades and measures to boost capacity will also form part of the works.

The project is intended to help boost industry in Chhattisgarh State. The programme of works has received its budget from India’s Government.
