Ukraine has set out plans for a bridge repair programme to extend across the country. The repair schedule has been established by Ukraine’s State Automobile Roads Agency (Ukravtodor) for 2021 and will see 150 bridges being repaired.

In addition, some 6,800km of roads will benefit from resurfacing, while full inspections will be carried out in 2,500km of roads to evaluate their condition. The programme will see weigh-in-motion facilities being installed at 60 locations, in a bid to tackle overloading.

Meanwhile construction is due to commence on the US$3 billion Kiev bypass as well as the $444 million Kremenchug Bridge during 2021.
