Colombian highway contracts awarded

In Colombia six major highway contracts have recently been awarded. The works will be worth over US$519 million in total.

The Consorcio Vial MHC 063 consortium, comprising MHC Ingenieria y Construcciones de Obras Civiles and Mario Alberto Huertas Cotes, will carry out the Ruta de Los Comuneros project. This is for a dual carriageway linking Zipaquira with Ubate.

The Consorcio Grosud consortium, comprising Sociedad Grodco CI Ingenieros Civiles and Sudinco Sucursal Colombia, will carry out surfacing work on the 61km section of road linking Puerto Boyaca, Chiquinquira and Tunja.

The Consorcio Vias Colombia 063 consortium, comprising Hidalgo and Hidalgo Colombia, will carry out surfacing work along a 107km stretch of the Via de La Soberania road linking La Lejia with Saravena.

The Consorcio Vias Nacionales consortium, comprising Sociedad KMA Constructores, Sicon and Constructora Emma, will surface a 121km stretch of road linking Belen and Paz de Ariporo.

The Consorcio PCT San Boy consortium, comprising Procopal and Castro Tcherassi, will carry out work to an 82km section of road connecting Duitama, Charala and San Gil.

The Consorcio Corredores Viales 063 consortium, comprising Sociedad Ingenieria de Vias, Explanan and ICM Ingenieros, will carry out surfacing work on the 37km section of road linking Vado Hondo with Labranzagrande and Yopal.
