A new contract has been awarded for a stretch of Vietnam’s important North-South Expressway project. The work will be handled under the build-operate-transfer (BOT) model.
Costing around US$389.5 million, the 78.5km stretch of the expressway will link Cam Lam with Vinh Hao. The work will be carried out by the DeoCa Group. Financial backing for the project is being supplied jointly by a group of private investors and the Vietnam Government. The former will provide 47.4% of the funding while the latter will provide the majority 52.6% stake.
The North-South Expressway project is of key importance for Vietnam and will deliver a high speed route connecting the country that will improve journey times and cut transport costs.
