A US$223 million loan will pay for Bolivian road works.
A loan worth US$223.4 million will pay for a new road project in Bolivia. The loan is being provided by the development bank of Latin America CAF. This will pay for work to three sections of the route, which runs between Uyuni and Hito LX. The work to the 120km route will be managed by Bolivia’s road management firm, ABC.
As Hito LX is on the border with neighbouring Chile, the improvements to the road route with the city of Uyuni will also deliver an important boost to landlocked Bolivia’s international transport connections.
