Work is underway for the second stage of the Yaounde-Douala highway project in Cameroon. This 140km stretch of highway is expected to cost nearly US$1.5 billion to build. It will connect Douala with Bibodi.

Meanwhile, funding is being sought from the African Development Bank (AfDB) for a $603.6 million package to pay for the road that will connect Batouri with Kika. This will improve Cameroon’s connectivity to Congo as Kika sits close to the international border. The work is being split into five stages and includes asphalt surfacing  between Ngoura II and Yoka douma.
