Tanzanian transport infrastructure development works are planned.
Tanzania looks set to benefit from further transport infrastructure development works. A US$428 million loan facility from the UK Export Finance (UKEF) will help pay for road improvement works as well as the upgrade of the Pemba Airport.
The loan was agreed between UKEF and Tanzania's Finance and Planning Ministry. New roads will be built in Unguja and Pemba. Key works in Tanzania will be for the 48km road linking Tunguu and Makudunchi, the 12km road between Kisauni and Fumba and the 43.5km route connecting Mkoani with Chake Chake Pemba.
