A new Morocco highway link is planned near Casablanca.
A new highway link is planned for Morocco. The highway will connect Berrechid and Tit Mellil to the south of Casablanca. Building work has commenced on the route, which will reduce congestion on the existing link between Casablanca’s International Airport and the city itself.
The project is costing US$247 million. The majority of the funding required is being supplied via the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development. Construction of the highway is being managed by Morocco’s state-owned highway firm, ADM, with the work being split into four lots being headed by four separate contractors.
