A new loan of US$116.5 million will help pay for road works in Tanzania. The loan is being provided by the African Development Bank (AfDB). This will be used to help pay for construction and maintenance work on the road connecting Minvata with Newala district in Tanzania’s Mtwara Region.

The improved road link will provide a transport connection to Mtwara Port and provide a necessary economic boost to the region, in the south of Tanzania and alongside the border with Mozambique.
