Dutch construction company Heijmans has been awarded a contract for the maintenance of motorways in Noord-Brabant province by the Dutch infrastructure and water board Rijkswaterstaat.
The €13 million contract covers the A2, A50, A59 and A67 motorways including fly-overs and bridges. Work will start at the end of August.
Heijmans has been involved in road building and maintenance since 1923.

Last month, the company announced that effective 1 July, Bart Smolders will join as director of Heijmans Infra and on 1 December he will take over as chairman of the board, replacing Gerrit Witzel.
Heijmans said that Smolders, who is currently chief executive of Siemens Mobility, will focus on “strategic development of the infra activities relating to digitalisation and data-driven services”.
