Nearly €169 million will be invested in the project, according to Hungarian media. Other bidders were 3454 Kozgep of Hungary and Itinera of Italy.

The M4 project is to link the Hungarian capital Budapest with Romania’s western border city of Oradea. The route will travel in Hungary through Cegléd – Szolnok – Karcag – Püspökladány – Berettyóújfalu – Nagykereki before reaching the Romanian border.

The M4 project had been stalled for the past two years after government pulled funding in April 2015 over suspected price fixing among contractors.
