The Ecuadorian Government is setting out plans for road repairs over the coming three years. The country has a road network of 10,264km, of which around 4,000km are in need of maintenance and repair works.
Since the current administration took over the country, around 1,300km of roads have been improved. Bridges have also been upgraded and repaired under the plans. A budget of US$5 billion has been set for Ecuador’s national infrastructure improvement programme for the coming three years, of which road upgrades will be amongst the priority works.
