EBRD to support Bosnian flood damaged road repairs

Bosnia has picked up a €221 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction to finance two road projects, including a Corridor Vc section. Up to €65 million of the a €221 million will be for flood damage repairs.

Bosnia has picked up a €221 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction to finance two road projects, including a Corridor Vc section.


Up to €65 million of the a €221 million will be for flood damage repairs.

Around €156 million will be allocated to a number of segments of Corridor Vc, including the Svilaj-Odzak section, the section connecting Pocitelj to Buna, the Zenica bypass and the sectioni between Zenica tunnel and Donja Gracanica.

Corridor Vc - or 5c - is designed to connect Kiev in the Ukraine to Slovakia and Hungary and runs through Bosnia to Croatia’s Adriatic coast. The pan-European corridor consists of three branches, of which Vc follows a route from Budapest in Hungary to Ploce on the Croatian coast.
