An increase is expected in the cost of the road project connecting Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka with Sylhet. The project will now cost US$1.5 billion. This represents an increase of $154 million. The route will feature two lanes in either direction when complete, boosting capacity and improving safety, while reducing journey times for drivers.
