Work is scheduled to start on new Oman highway

Construction work on a key highway link in Oman is due to commence shortly. The 46km stretch of highway will be built by a joint venture comprising Serbian firm Konstruktor and Indian company Simplex Infrastructure. The project is worth some US$335 million and Simplex Infrastructure will be the majority partner with 52%, while Konstruktor will hold the remaining 48%. The agreement for the project was signed between the joint venture partners and the Ministry of Transport and Telecoms of Sultanata Oman.
