Under the banner of the cooperative Pavement Preservation Recycling Alliance (PPRA), all specialists in the sector are invited to the beautiful Canadian city of Niagara Falls to share experiences on how to protect, maintain and rehabilitate road assets in the most cost effective manner while embracing recycling and innovation.
“Road networks are the backbone of the economy that allows the movement of goods, services and families,” said Ryan Essex, president of the Asphalt Recycling & Reclaiming Association (ARRA) and vice president of the Canadian road construction business8107 Miller Group.
“The safe condition of this road network is paramount in maintaining an acceptable standard of living that includes affordable goods, services and travel times for all of us, regardless of where we live,” said Essex, who was elected president of ARRA during the global Paris event in February.
Attendees at the PPRA Niagara Falls forum, to be held from October 13-15, 2015, will hear industry leaders present information on lessons learned and best practices in all areas of pavement preservation and recycling. The quality of speakers and the range of topics covered provide the opportunity for specialists to continue pushing the limits of innovation. At the forum, they will hear how to stretch precious infrastructure capital and maintenance dollars and collaborate with their industry peers to improve asset management strategies using pavement preservation and recycling.

The Pavement Preservation Recycling Alliance was formed in 2011 when the boards of the Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association (AEMA), the Asphalt Recycling & Reclaiming Association (ARRA) and the International Slurry Surfacing Association (ISSA) agreed to work together. The alliance is not a separate organisation and the AEMA, ARRA and ISSA continue to exist. The PPRA promotes the technologies, processes and applications promoted individually by AEMA, ARRA and ISSA whose members include contractors, suppliers, public authorities and engineering companies.
