Prolectric ProTemp solar lighting column: easy on the eyes, easy to position
UK solar lighting manufacturer Prolectric has launched the ProTemp solar lighting column, that combines smart, LED lighting with solar performance.

The Prolectric ProTemp is a flexible alternative to mains-powered festoon lighting or diesel-generator lights, says the manufacturer. It complements the larger award-winning Prolectric ProLight solar lighting tower which was introduced in early 2017. Main contractors on high profile construction and infrastructure projects are using the lights to help reduce carbon emissions and meet their air quality responsibilities, especially in London.

The ProTemp is a standalone unit mounted on a concrete base that can be moved into position quickly and easily with a forklift or sack truck. With no mains power, the ProTemp dispenses with the need for a contractor to dig trenches, install trunking or cables and saves significantly on groundworking and installation costs.

Every ProTemp is fitted with smart Passive Infrared Sensor (PIR) to optimise power usage in the unit. A bright light is activated only when the area is entered by a vehicle or person, then switches off when the area is unoccupied, saving battery usage and minimising light pollution.
