In Vietnam three separate options are being considered for the Can Tho-Ca Mau Expressway project. The three proposals have been costed at US$2.61 billion, $2.44 billion and $1.98 billion. The proposed routes will be for lengths of 138km, 125km and 141km respectively.

Two of the proposals involve building new roads parallel to the existing Quan Lo-Phung Hiep route, while another will utilise part of this road. The three proposals were out forward by Transport Engineering and Design (Transport Engineering).
