The 16km stretch of highway will be raised and feature three lanes in either direction. Construction is planned to commence at the beginning of 2025 and the project is being overseen by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The highway will connect Aroor and Edapally, running around Kochi. The new link will help reduce congestion around the city. The work is expected to take three years to complete. Road Structures
