The Chinese firm Sichuan Road & Bridge will handle a US$195 million road contract for the Ministry of Equipment and Housing of Tunisia. The work is for a bridge linking the port city of Bizerte with the A4 highway. Construction work is expected to commence shortly.

The improved link between the city and the highway will boost transport for the area. This will make transport for heavy vehicles to and from the port, located in the north of Tunisia, easier and deliver an economic boost to the area.
