A series of road upgrades are being planned in Tunisia. A budget of US$230.3 million has been set for the programme, which is being planned by the Tunisian Ministry of Equipment and Housing.

This will be the second part of the PMIR-II project to improve roads in Tunisia. Around 231km of roads will be upgraded in Kasserine, Siliana, Sidi Bouzid, Gafsa, and Kairouan.

Much of the funding for the work is being supplied by the African Development Bank (AfDB). Work on the first 138km of road improvements will commence in early 2023.
