An important Romanian road contract has been awarded.
The package of works for a stretch of the Bucharest North Ring Highway project has been awarded. The new road connection will reduce congestion and journey times for drivers in and around Romania’s capital.
The contract is for Lot 1 of the route and the deal is worth close to €166 million. The work will be handled by a consortium comprising Impresa Pizzarotti & C Italia and Retter Project management.
The package of works was awarded to the consortium by Romania’s National Company for Road Infrastructure Management (CNAIR). The project is expected to take up to three years to complete, with the construction work itself taking around two years.
